Not angry, just confused...

I got a raise last week.
It wasn't as much as I was hoping for, or as much as I deserve, but it was a decent bump in salary. I'm confused by this. My company has a longstanding tradition of completely ignoring the people who actually do stuff, and grossly overpaying the director and c-level people who do more harm than good.
I'm mildly concerned that this is a sign the company is completely bankrupt and not going to pay anyone, so they're making a few nice gestures on the way down.

eh...whatever. Fuck it. It's time to focus on fantasy football anyway.
